Uploading
Now that all of the base files are together it's time up upload them to the hosting company. Don't worry about other people seeing an unfinished site. With so many websites in the world, unless the web address is given to someone, nobody else is going to take a look at it.
Most hosting companies work in pretty much the same way. If your hosting company is a good and reliable hosting company, you could call their technical support line and have them walk you the process the first time around. When talking to tech support, make sure to tell them that you want the easiest way to upload multiple files at once.
For this course we will be using HostMonster
. There are several ways to upload files with HostMonster. The Unlimited FTP option is very easy to use and can upload multiple files and folders at once. Unlimited FTP does use a Java interface will have to use a Java enabled browser like Internet Explorer.

The first thing to do is to log into the control panel. To do this, look on HostMonster's start page in the upper right hand corner. |

Scroll down and open up the Files Bar. Then double left click on Unlimited FTP Icon. |

Then click on the "unlimited FTP" button. |

This opens up a new window. On the left side of the screen are all of the files that are on your computer. |

On the right side of the screen are all of the files on the web server. Don't delete anything; the hosting company put them there for a reason. |

On the left side of the screen, navigate to your website files by double clicking through the folders. |

On the right side of the screen open up the folder labeled "public_html". This is where to put all of the files that display your website to the world. |

While holding down your control (Ctrl) button on the keyboard, single left click to select all of the files and folders to upload. In this case, we are going to upload them all to the server. |

Use the big scrollbar on the side of the browser to scroll down until you see the upload button. |

Click on the "Upload" button and all of the files selected on the left side of the screen will be copied to where you navigated to on the right side of the screen. |
When the status box is done your website has been uploaded. Open up a new window and go to your websites address. It should look something like this:
